It is said that the name “Togeppou” comes from the fact that the moon rising from Mount Tenkei, the mountain behind Saiokuji Temple, seems to have been ejected from the mountain. From this, I imagined a scene in which fragments of light from this village would become a beautiful moon. The work was inspired by the image of moon eggs flashing violently in a nest of ivy, about to become a big full moon. I hope you can feel the rich nature of the Izumigaya area and the awe of the moon.
